Nashville, TN – On March 1st, 2019 Pencil Ink Academy announced that She Persisted: Influential Women in History, launched on Kickstarter to bring fifty of the most influential women in history to flashcards, prints, a coloring book and more!

At the time of writing, this campaign has already surpassed the 50% mark in funding and quickly approaching its crowdfunding goal.

The deck of flashcards features FIFTY of the most influential women in world history; royals and peasants, pioneers and philanthropists, artists and authors, leaders, suffragettes and (S)heroes of STEM who all shaped the world in which we live.

“I want my daughter to grow up never measuring herself by what she is not, but by what she IS,” says founder Yoni Limor. “As a parent, it’s the single most important thing we can do for our children. Knowledge is power.”

To accomplish this mission, founder Limor assembled a series of beautifully illustrated flashcards that will help to aid in memory retention and studying in classrooms around the world. This will help to introduce youngers to strong feminine heroes in their early development.

“Active recall has been proven to create stronger neuron connections for that memory trace,” says Limo. “And because flashcards can so easily facilitate repetition, they are the best way to create multiple memory-enhancing recall events.”

In order to print the first batch of orders, Pencil Ink Academy is raising funding on Kickstarter for the next 25 days. Backers can claim exclusive rewards including a single deck, coloring book, print packs and originals from all the partner artists on the project, including Eisner winner Janet Lee, and more.

The team is working with the same sketch card broker from the American Presidents campaign to facilitate the printing/packaging process as soon as the Kickstarter ends.

You can learn more about the ongoing Kickstarter campaign here and also get access to the exclusive perks and rewards. Backers will help to inspire more young women to build a better world.
